What is inside?
The complete Ethiopian Orthodox canon in one hardbound volume: the Old and New Testaments plus the 22 additional books the Western Bible left out, including Enoch, Jubilees, the Ascension of Isaiah, Tobit, Judith, 1 and 2 Maccabees, Sirach, Wisdom of Solomon, Baruch, 1 and 2 Esdras, the Prayer of Manasseh, the Book of Clement, the two Books of the Covenant, the Ethiopian Didascalia, the Apocalypse of Peter, 3 and 4 Maccabees and Psalm 151.
Where it comes from
Ethiopia became a Christian kingdom in the 4th century, one of the first nations in the world to do so. Over the centuries the Western Bible grew shorter: books like Enoch and Jubilees were never included, and in the 1500s Protestant Bibles removed even more. The Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church kept them all, copied by hand, century after century, in monasteries and churches carved from rock. It remains the largest biblical canon in Christianity.

The canon, kept where it could never be edited
Bete Giyorgis in Lalibela was carved from volcanic rock in the 12th century. In churches like it, Ethiopian monks copied the Scriptures by hand, century after century.
Ethiopia kept its faith and its books through centuries of isolation. That is why the canon survived intact while other Bibles grew shorter.
Readers are discovering the books their Bible never contained
Here's what people are saying about The Ethiopian Bible
The books I never knew existed
I had read my Bible for thirty years and never once read Enoch or Jubilees. Having all eighty-eight books in one volume changed how I read Genesis.

Beautiful and solid
The binding feels like it will last a lifetime, and the print is easy on the eyes. I gave the second copy to my brother.

Worth every page
Twelve hundred pages and I have not put it down. Reading Jubilees next to Genesis is an experience I did not expect.
